Recent review of Le Pigeon
Having read the reviews we approached our visit with some trepidation, however we were very happy with our first visit to Le Pigeon. It was a Friday night and we arrived for our six o'clock reservation and were seated promptly. The seating is family style like you commonly see in Basque restaurants and sharing a table with strangers is different, but OK, and we shared several conversations with our table mates. Brian, our server, was pleasant and helpful. The food service was prompt. My main course was 10 minutes later than my wifes, but they apologized several times. The meal was excellent, the scallop starter was fresh, and cooked perfectly. I would highly recommend the lamb or the halibut. Nothing was too salty. The wine list is great, plenty of choices, but not overwhelming. Had a great pinot noir. The dessert of the goat chesse cake with a cookie crumb crust was like the best cheesecake you've ever had but smoother. Definitely will return.Small place, could definitely see if you had a 7 o'clock reservation not being seated until 8:30
